The National Domestic Abuse Helpline website has a button on every page which takes the user to Google’s homepage.
The image stays fixed in the bottom left corner of the screen as someone navigates through the website.
There is also guidance about safe browsing and what to do if you are worried someone is monitoring your device on the homepage.
Key guidance
Make the exit button clearly visible, using accessible colours and fonts.
Place it consistently on every page so that it can be reached quickly and easily.
Risks
If someone is living with an abuser, their safety could be at risk if they are caught looking for help.
